Kun-Chol is a US-qualified lawyer with expertise in cross-border transactions, tax law, and international arbitration. During his career, he has advised corporate clients, ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies, in various industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology on a wide range of business transactions such as fund formation and structuring, investment in US equity/debt/real property interest, and M&As.
In law school, Kun-Chol served as a research assistant to esteemed law professors such as Professor William W Park, a former president of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and Professor Mindy Herzfeld.
Kun-Chol holds a Doctor of Juridical Sciences (S.J.D.) with a thesis on tax treaty arbitration. Kun Chol’s work gained recognition and is cited by scholars in the field.

- Advising B Co., a leading U.S. telecommunications company, on its proposed acquisition of C Co., one of the largest film and entertainment companies in the U.S., in a transaction valued at USD 4X billion in 2021.
- Advising B Investment Co., a Hong Kong private equity firm, on multiple acquisitions of equity interests in U.S. target entities, with deal values ranging from USD 5X million to USD 1XX million from 2021 to 2024.
- Advising T Investment Co., a Singaporean private equity firm, on various acquisitions of debt and convertible debt in U.S. target entities, with transaction values between USD 3X million and USD 1XX million from 2021 to 2024.
- Advising A Holdings, a Singaporean real estate firm, on the acquisition of various U.S. real property interests through the formation of a new fund, culminating in a transaction valued at USD 5X million in 2023.
- Advising A Bank, a major Korean bank, on its investment in U.S. debt valued at USD 5X million in 2024.
